Chris started his career in construction as a residential carpenter and was hired on at the Rafn Company in 1991 after moving to Washington. He then moved up through the ranks utilizing his diverse construction skills which includes window, door, and siding installation; welding; pipe fitting; concrete; and finish-work. Now, as a Superintendent, he has added construction management to his ever-growing list of skills.

Chris has found a niche at Rafn working in occupied buildings and working for repeat clients. Both types of projects take special skills which Chris has in abundance. Working in and around occupied building takes a significant focus on keeping tenants, residents, pedestrians, and fellow crew safe. He has an extremely strong safety focus which shows in his exemplary safety record.

Working for repeat clients again and again goes to show that Chris has what it takes to handle many different problems and find solutions that work for the client. After working with a client on multiple projects, he learns their likes and dislikes, their specific requirements, and their passion for their work. This allows an ease of communication and relaxed relationship that makes these projects wildly successful.
