This project was a complete reclad of two occupied residential buildings totaling 121 affordable housing units in Seattle.
The two buildings were occupied with long-term residents, many of who work nights or from home. This downtown project was further restricted for access and laydown area due to the simultaneous construction of two new skyscrapers, one across a shared alley and the other on a shared property line.
Work included demolition of the stucco cladding and windows, and installation of a new WRB/rainscreen/Hardi system and vinyl windows. Rafn craftspeople self-performed demolition and installation of windows, GWB patching, rot repair, structural sheathing, and interior window trim.
